D-WIKI - 2011 - K-Drama - Full Review
SUMMARY: Yang Eun Bi is a college student preparing for her civil service exam with the dream of being a high school teacher. She accidentally encounters Cha Chi Soo, the arrogant son of the biggest food conglomerate in Korea. Eun-bi is attracted to him before she finds out that he is only a high school student and thus several years younger than her. However, her student-teaching assignment finds her not only working at the high school that Cha's family owns, but teaching his homeroom class. She grows to dislike him for his arrogance and lack of empathy. He, on the other hand, becomes fascinated with her because she is tough and athletic, unlike the other women he knows. After losing her student teaching job because of hem, they both end up working in her deceased father's Ramen shop, which was left to Choi Hang Kyuk by Eun Bi's father, in hopes the two would form a relationship together. The three of them, along with two other out of luck high school students, work together to build up the ramen shop, but against the wishes of Chi Soo's father, who wants to buy the shop to tear it down for his own profit. main cast: Lee Chung Ah, Jung Il Woo, Lee Ki Woo, Park Min Woo, Jo Yoon Woo review: Despite there being some shoddy character progression, and a few unnecessary side characters, I enjoyed the show. There were things I wish had been changed or improved on, but I really did like it overall. The plot was fun, and the cast had great chemistry together. Rewatchability, to me, is so-so: I won’t be rewatching it any time soon, but I can see it happening eventually. The cast really did make it a better show, and had they not had such a good group, I feel like it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable as it was. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

D-WIKI - 2010 - K-Drama - Full Review
SUMMARY: Oh Ha Ni, a lively but slightly clumsy student who isn't particularly interested in studying, has been in love with Baek Seung Jo ever since entering high school. Baek Seung Jo is a student from the same year as Oh Ha Ni, but with a brilliant mind. He is often considered to be a genius, having been the only student to constantly acquire a perfect score on all school exams. His tall, athletic figure and attractive features also make him the object of desire for all girls in the school, but he treats everyone with indifference and coldness, always looking down on those he considers inferior. One day, Oh Ha Ni decides to confess her feelings for him through a letter, but she immediately gets harshly rejected. However, fate intervenes when an earthquake crashes the newly built house of Oh Ha Ni and her father, which forces them to move in with a childhood friend of Oh Ha Ni's father until the house is rebuilt, who just happens to be the father of Baek Seung Jo. main cast: Jung So Min, Kim Hyun Joong, Lee Tae Sung, Hong Yoon Hwa, Yoon Seung Ah review: I know it probably sounds awful, but my main problem with this show was the relationship between Ha Ni and Seung Jo, and it is essentially the one thing that ruined the show for me. Did I completely hate the show? No. But it definitely wasn’t as good as I expected or wanted it to be. It was cute, and if you don’t mind the forced feeling behind the relationship, you will probably enjoy this show. I just felt like there was no chemistry there, and when the central plot of this show revolves around Oh Ha Ni winning her guy over, you would think she would actually win him over at some point and not just have him seem to begrudgingly agree to be with her… Rewatchability is kind of… Eh. I skimmed through the episodes again to do this review, since I haven’t watched the show in about a year, but I didn’t have a huge interest in rewatching it all over again. I might one day, but I also don’t think I will be all that disappointed if I don’t. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

D-WIKI - 2009 - K-Drama - Full Review
SUMMARY: The management company of the idol group A.N.JELL insisted on adding a new singer to the group as the lead vocal, as their current vocalist, Tae Kyung’s, voice was hurting. However, the person chosen to be the new member, Mi Nam, had to go to the States to repair a botched eye job just before signing the contract. His agent came up with the idea of having his twin sister, Mi Nyu, to stand in for him and pretend that she was her brother. The two of them grew up in an orphanage and Mi Nyu, who was all set to become a nun, agreed to this charade as she didn’t want to spoil her brother’s chance of fame, which would make it easier to look for their mother. However, time drags on, and what Mi Nyu thought would be a quick charade turns into her living with, and forming friendships, with the boys in A.N.JELL. The longer she stays, the harder it is to keep her secret, especially when she starts forming feelings for one of the members. main cast: Park Shin Hye, Jang Geun Suk, Jung Yong Hwa, Lee Hong Ki review: I really loved this show. I think it was just a collection of small things that kept it from being five stars versus four, but overall it was honestly a really good show in my opinion, with likable characters and a good storyline, with just the right mix of elements to keep it from going too far in one direction. Rewatchability on this one is pretty good. I’ll probably rewatch it sometime after I get through more on my to-watch list. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

main cast: Jung Yong Hwa, Park Shin Hye review: I liked the show, and I actually do plan on rewatching it sometime in the next few months. I think it could go up to a four star the second time around, once I am watching it without the initial expectations I had before going into it, or anything of the sort. The story tied together well though, and I enjoyed the show for the most part. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
